A Shot a Day Keeps the Vampire Away

Since DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE (2024), younger generations have also known who Blade and Wesley Snipes are again. Long-established Marvel and/or cinema fans are likely to have BLADE and BLADE II in good memory or at least remember them. The anti-hero finally returns to the big screen with his Katana reinforced.

BLADE (1998) is a half-vampire, a daywalker, one of those rare bloodsuckers that you don't have to mop up with a shovel and broom after sunbathing. But above all, he is pissed because his mother was killed by a vampire and since then he has been cursed to walk around with sharp teeth and cool sunglasses. As a vampire hunter, he now protects humanity and tries to pull out the teeth of antagonist Deacon Frost, who wants to conjure up an ancient blood god.

In Guillermo del Torro's sequel BLADE II (2002), a new disaster looms. Namely the “Reapers” — vampire mutants who not only target humans but also bloodsuckers. To face the threat, Blade must jump over his shadow and team up with the Vampire Council.
