Here you can find answers to the most important questions about the BRUGGGORE Horror Film Festival. From age restrictions to ticket options to travel and accommodation options, we've summarized everything for you so you're well prepared.
If you have any further questions, feel free to send us an email to:
Unfortunately no. All performances at the festival are strictly allowed from the age of 18. Passes and tickets are only available with proof of age. Be patient a little longer. We'll probably still be around in a few years ;-)
“BRUGGGORE film festival brings fantastic horror and beyond, its open-mindedness and diversity to the big screen” is our mission statement — and we live by it too! Everyone is welcome. Love, peace and happiness. Horror is only available on the big screen!
If you want to watch more than three films a day, a day pass or even a festival pass is definitely worth it.
Traditionally, festival passes can be purchased at an early bird rate from December 1. Individual tickets are only available shortly before the festival. Usually around 3 weeks before the event.
You will automatically receive a purchase confirmation with all the information and your personal pass number. You can then use this to book all performances as soon as the full program is published.
The festival takes place at the Excelsior and Odeon cinemas in Brugg. Both are right next to the train station and only a few minutes away from each other on foot.
From Zurich, Basel, Bern, Olten, Lucerne or virtually any other place in Switzerland, we recommend traveling by train. Everything can be reached from Brugg train station in just a few minutes. In principle, there are paid parking spaces. In addition, there is this webpage information. From Zurich Airport, you can take the train directly to Brugg in 45 minutes.
The number of rooms in Brugg is very limited. Accommodation is available at the Centurion Tower Hotel (our hotel partner), the River House, the Terminus, Roteshaus and Gotthard hotels. We recommend booking early. Unfortunately, we cannot offer you any special rates. If Brugg is fully booked, it is worth taking a look at Baden. That's 8 minutes by train and there are connections like fatalities in a Friday the 13th movie.
We do not tolerate harassment or discrimination at our festival! In such a case, contact security or a Brugggore volunteer immediately. Any case of (sexual) harassment will be punished with expulsion from the festival site and, if applicable, a complaint.
Sure, we even have a photo wall for social media posts. Mark us under [...]. Just make sure you take off high hats or the like during the shows so as not to obscure people behind you. Masks must be removed in case of an age check.
There is a wide and local range of hot food in our cinemas. Vegan and gluten-free options are available. If you have specific allergies and intolerances, please contact our bar staff.
