A man who claims to be her husband. A daughter she doesn't recognize. Time and again, Ellie loses her memory and with each time her disorientation increases and the memory of her unknown past becomes more threatening. But memory loss is by far her smallest problem.
The world that director BT Meza draws us into in his first featured film is dark and threatening. While we are still groping in the dark ourselves and suffering for Ellie, more and more secrets are revealed. Surprising twists quickly show that we are not dealing with a classic psychological thriller here. It quickly becomes disgusting and the horror heart is spoiled with practical effects. However, not much more should be said, as this information alone is, strictly speaking, spoilers.
