In an uncomfortably secluded house, nurse Julia looks after a demented woman. When their ex-husband shows up, it gets even more unpleasant. Something bad is lurking in this house. Julia is faced with impossible decisions and confronted with situations that challenge her understanding of good and evil. BURY THE DEVIL is straightforward demon horror at its best. In a fidgety setting, the story develops and forces us to ask a central question again and again: Why is there no more light in this house?!
Director Adam O'Brien will know why. He has repeatedly appeared in indie horror for many years, has diligently released short films and contributed segments to anthology horror films. Here, however, he clearly goes one step further in terms of quality. Cast, setting, plot and effects are convincing and engage you from the very first minute. That is bitterly angry and fairly uncompromising.
