Hidden in an inconspicuous self-storage warehouse, a life-threatening fungal parasite has been kept frozen since the 1980s. When two young employees notice that there is a beeping sound somewhere deep in the warehouse and strange sauce is leaking out, it is already too late. The fungus has thawed and it is up to them to prevent the spread and save the world. Fortunately, they have (mental) support from professional humanity savior Liam Neeson.
Almost exactly 20 years after the (already) brilliant ALIEN AUTOPSY and after countless episodes of well-known TV series, British director Jonny Campbell is finally making another feature film. COLD STORAGE truly deserves the title “Splatter”. It splatters out of many body openings, the creatures are wonderfully slimy and the eyes of all mop makers are likely to get shiny. Campbell effortlessly packs all of this into a heartfelt and loosely flaky story full of humor and retro charm. Just really nice splatter fun again!
