With her cell phone in her hand and God's voice in her ear, Yelena falls ever deeper into an endless spiral of violence that demands more and more victims and reveals her own dark sides.
KARMADONNA is the debut film by Aleksandar Radivojevic, enfant terrible of Serbian filmmaking and author of the controversial A SERBIAN FILM. His first directorial work isn't quite as borderline — but here, too, you need a stable stomach flora and deep black humor. You are rewarded for this with visually opulent staging, strong acting, hearty effects and a wonderfully satisfying reckoning with the questionable world of many influencers.
