After Sanae's partner is killed by a creepy two-meter ghost named Mag Mag and relieved of his two eyes, she wants revenge. However, she soon realizes that it is not so easy to direct her revenge on the right person.
MAG MAG is a great mix of styles of J-horror, love story, black humor, revenge drama and a first in several ways. It is the feature film debut by Japanese actress, comedian and director Yuriyan Retriever and the first film by K2 Pictures, a new independent production company with the aim of rethinking traditional film financing in Japan. The noble goal: Profits should flow back to the people who actually make films and not to those who only have big wallets. According to K2, a Takashi Miike project should already be in the pipeline. We're excited!
