During World War II, Japanese soldiers and their prisoners of war build a railway line in Thailand. In doing so, they wake up an old, legendary monster with a thousand feet in a mountain. With war on their necks and slimy cave monsters ahead of them, a group of refugees tries to escape through the mountain to the neighboring country. The stuff nightmares are made of!
With OMUKADE, Thailand turns the splatter and gore controls to eleven and delivers a bloody spectacle. As is often the case, however, the makers are not satisfied with a bit of creature feature. Parasitic undead are awakened, the atrocities committed by the Japanese during the war are addressed and, in general, you barely get a breather. This is the best big screen splatter cinema that you can see almost only from Asia.
