Mysterious deaths frighten the already superstitious inhabitants of a remote village in the Carpathians. Dr. Paul Eswai, a young doctor from the city and anything but convinced of the horror stories, which see a curse as the reason for the misery, rushes to help. But soon the doctor must also admit that something cannot be done with earthly right things.
For the 60th anniversary, we are bringing OPERAZIONE PAURA, better known to many as KILL, BABY... KILL! or in German DIE TOTEN AUGEN DES DR. DRACULA back on the big screen. Surrealist lighting moods, lyrically composed pictures and an eerily beautiful gothic horror atmosphere that even inspired industry greats such as Martin Scorsese, David Lynch or Tim Burton. Italian champion Mario Bava still makes for well-groomed creeps today. Although some villagers have to lose their lives on the path to truth, the focus here is more on the supernatural, on mysterious figures and on the game between superstition and science.
