Carol is not very lucky in life and in love and repeatedly runs into men who treat her badly. When she falls in love with the manipulative Douglas, her life falls on a dark path that will make her world-famous, at least among true crime fans.
Film production machine Chad Ferrin is no stranger to the BRUGGGORE Filmfestival and has already perturbed us in the past with NIGHT CALLER (2021), PIG KILLER (2022) and UNSPEAKABLE: BEYOND THE WALL OF SLEEP (2024). Now he's taking on the SUNSET STRIP KILLERS. The murderous couple who killed young women and sex workers in the 80s. With perverse ease, Douglas Clark kills his victims, lives out his fantasies of mutilation and necrophilia without restraint and increasingly makes Carol Bundy his accomplice. The murders are staged anything but squeamishly, which makes the film more crude slasher fodder and less of a differentiated confrontation with one of the most disturbing serial killer cases in American history.
