Life as a vampire isn't easy. Especially not if you're shy and don't primarily like people to eat. For example, Monia works in a nursing home, where she occasionally draws blood from residents. When work colleague Czarek uncovers her secret and dead people suddenly appear with bite marks, Monia's regular life gets pretty out of hand.
Polish director Paweł Podolski delivers a heartwarming vampire fairy tale with his feature film debut. With subtle humor and endearing characters, who all have to deal with their very own problems in life, a small, fine story unfolds with lots of charm, sensitivity and bluntly direct language. A film that reminds us that prejudices can be overcome, even though the supposed differences between us sometimes seem insurmountable.
